Sand and Sun

We have often commented on how tired we are at the end of the day and how little we did all day.  We had another one of those  today as we lolled on the beach from late morning until late afternoon, hardly getting up off our chairs except to people watch, each lunch and, for Jocelyn, swim in the clear warm ocean.  She said she has been to and swam in many bodies of water but none as clean and clear as the ones off Malvarossa Beach. No seaweed or debris to get in her way, she could just float contentedly . We rented loungers again and shared one of the thatched hut umbrellas so we could have some shade.  Laying in mine, I listened to sounds of children laughing and playing in the sand and people talking all around us, some even in English.  I fell asleep listening to the tunes on my i-Phone and woke up only when I heard lunch mentioned.  I never miss lunch!

We watched people on the water using flyboards.  They are small platforms with boots attached that the user stands in.  Attached to a jet ski by a long black “umbilical” cord, the person is propelled high out of the  water where he can do acrobatics or dive back into the water.  The first person we watched was learning so he spent lots of time falling back in but the second guy was amazing to watch, shooting this way and that and diving from up high only to immediately being shot back into the air.  Looked like lots of fun.

We had planned dinner out when we got home but we all agreed to stay in and rest…I secretly know that’s it was just because we didn’t want to deal with the stairs twice! So after a fancy dinner of grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with salad, we all spent some time on our computers, played some cards, planned our day for tomorrow and called it a night.  It was a wonderful, relaxing day.
